Welcome to the home of our unnamed comic created by Mariah Eckwright and Jennelle Brunner!  As of now it's still a work in progress, but the day will come when it will be completed.

This story--a first attempt at comic-making for both creators--follows a young technophobic girl as she is forced to confront her fears.  By making the comic animated, we hoped to make the story more fluid and natural to read.  It also doubled as a nice contrast to the main character's own feelings; Someone with such a strong aversion to technology would herself certainly be opposed to the inclusion of animation, or any digital involvement at all.  The goal was to deliver a nice story, while also hopefully making the reader think about what animation--and other digital enhancements--can do for comics.  Is the widespread digitization of comics a good thing?  Should more comics have animation, sound or other technology-based enhancements added to them, or are they a purely analog medium at heart?  In short, should all comics be of a form that can be printed on paper without losing any of the features?

We hope you will consider these and other questions while you enjoy our Freakin' Comic-in-progress.

Heidy-ho!
